Two teens arrested in connection with Erskine shooting
An 18-year-old and 17-year-old have been arrested in connection with a Fourth of July shooting in Erskine, Minn., that injured a Crookston man, the Polk County Sheriff's Office reported today.
Sheriff Barb Erdman said Octavio Benavidez Jr., 18, of Crookston, was taken to Essentia Health in Fosston, Minn., after authorities received a call about a shooting early Monday in Erskine.
Benavidez was later airlifted to Essentia Health in Fargo. A hospital spokeswoman said he was treated and released Monday.
The sheriff's office said the case is still active and under investigation.
