Two road closings will impact traffic
BEMIDJI - Two road closures affecting local traffic have been announced.
Starting Monday, Birchmont Drive Northeast at the south end of Diamond Point Park will close to all traffic for a week.
The closure is next to the American Indian Center and across from Birch Hall at Bemidji State University.
The road is being closed for construction of an underground water line. City officials ask motorists to observe detour signs and use caution.
In addition, Diamond Point Park remains closed to the public due to damage sustained during the July 2 storm. The public is being asked to stay out of the park.
In Bemidji Township, the most northerly lane of 18th Street Southwest will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for maintenance east of Lakeview Drive Southeast.
The closure is expected through July 23.
Signs and flaggers will be used as needed. For questions, call Enbridge Pipeline at 755-6724.
