The Cass County Sheriff's Office reported three people were arrested for burglarizing the Hackensack Municipal Off-Sale Liquor Store on June 10. Video footage of two individuals confirmed Goose and Hoffman had broken into the establishment. A third person, Tiffany Goose, 25, of Bemidji was arrested but not charged.

Court documents stated the men stole liquor bottles after smashing in the bottom portion of a glass door. Blood evidence had been left at the scene, according to a criminal complaint. When deputies located Jeffrey Goose for questioning, Hoffman also was present and a Cass County Deputy observed blood on his hand and leg, according to court documents. Hoffman admitted he had broken into the liquor store but said he acted alone.

Law enforcement was advised to obtain a search warrant in order to search Tiffany Goose's apartment, where they found two empty bottles of Captain Morgan and a ripped Captain Morgan box, according to court documents. On the box was typed, "Hackensack #2 Off Sale 210 Hwy 371 No," according to a criminal complaint. In the meantime, a deputy said he observed Jeffrey Goose throwing Captain Morgan bottles out of a window, according to court documents.

Hoffman and Goose are scheduled for sentencing on Aug. 18.
