Two injured in Monday morning Highway 2 crash

The Minnesota State Patrol based in Thief River Falls reported a two-vehicle accident at 6:47 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1.

David G. Foldoe, 57, of Bagley was driving east on U.S. Highway 2 near Solway in a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville. The car was turning across the westbound lanes onto Caribou Footed Drive Northwest when it collided with a 2000 Ford Taurus, also eastbound, driven by Jaime A. Brtek, 33, of Mahnomen.

Foldoe was wearing a seatbelt and the Pontiac's airbags deployed. He received minor injuries and was taken to North Country Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. Clint D. Foldoe, 24, of Bagley, a passenger in the Pontiac was uninjured.

Brtek was also wearing a seatbelt and the Taurus' airbags deployed. She received minor injuries and was taken to NCRH where she was being evaluated as of Monday afternoon.

Both vehicles were totaled
