BEMIDJI — Two new hires have joined Beltrami County Attorney Tim Faver’s office.

Wyatt Arneson began work as an assistant county attorney Jan. 21.

“I’ve bounced around, but I went to BSU and have been in the area for close to 20 years,” Arneson said. Arneson earned his law degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks in 2011.

Before being appointed to his current position, Arneson was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge John G. Melbye. Before working in the law field, he poured concrete and is familiar with a few of Beltrami County Commissioner Jim Lucachick’s buildings, he said.

Kristal Kadrie moved from Fargo to join the Beltrami County Attorney’s office and began working as an assistant county attorney Jan. 27.

While in Fargo, Kadrie was assistant prosecutor for the city of Fargo. Like Arneson, she studied law at the University of North Dakota, graduating in 2010.

Kadrie said she plans to delve into more felony and gross misdemeanors while working for the best interests of the state and keeping the community safe.

Kadrie considers herself a lake girl, growing up around Detroit Lakes. She said she looks forward to the outdoor- and lake-related activities in Bemidji.
