Twins have first home rainout since 1980

MINNEAPOLIS - Steady rains have forced the Minnesota Twins to postpone tonight's game against the Baltimore Orioles.

It's the first rainout at the team's new Target Field, and the first rainout of a Twins home game since Sept. 20, 1980, at the old Metropolitan Stadium.

The Twins spent nearly 30 years indoors at the Metrodome before opening Target Field this season. The game will be made up Saturday in a day-night doubleheader. Games will start at 12:10 and 7:10.
