Trail bridge span installation planned for tonight, detours will be in place

BEMIDJI - Placement of the main bridge span for the Paul Bunyan State Trail here is scheduled to begin tonight.

U.S. Highway 197 at First Avenue Southeast will be closed to vehicle traffic starting at 9 p.m. It is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Friday.

A signed detour through the South Shore Development will be in place for motorists.
