TRACK AND FIELD: Lumberjacks set school records, send one to finals at Class AA state meet

ST. PAUL — Bemidji senior Sam Carlson broke the school record in the 800 meter run and qualified for today’s finals at the Minnesota State Class AA Track and Field Championships at Hamline University in St. Paul.

Carlson ran the race in 1 minute, 54.63 seconds, finishing second in his heat. He beat Alex Schoneberger’s previous record of 1:54.95.
