A nationally acclaimed a cappella quartet, Tonic Sol-fa, will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Bemidji High School Auditorium.
Independent School District 31 and Paul Bunyan Broadcasting are sponsoring the concert. All proceeds will benefit La Voce Ballo, Bemidji High School’s all-female show choir, and the Paul Bunyan Broadcasting Radiothon to End Child Abuse to be held Dec. 6-7.
Tonic Sol-fa has carved a niche as one of the nation’s top a cappella group. The group has appeared on NBC’s Today Show, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and on the pages of Newsweek magazine. The New York Times describes Tonic Sol-fa’s sound as “a vocal kaleidoscope … unique to the human voice.”
Tickets are $12 and are available at Marketplace Foods, Bemidji High School and at the downtown offices and studios of KB101, KZY-FM 95.5, Z99, The True Oldies Channel 104.5 and KBUN.
