Tina Elizabeth Carter, 58, of Winter, Wis., formerly of Bemidji, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at her home.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. today at Evangelical Free Church in Winter. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home of Hayward, Wis., assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born Oct. 20, 1950, to Roy and June (Lansky) Frogness in Aurora, Ill. She married Bob Carter May 24, 1997, in Hayward.
She played flute in the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and earned a bachelor's degree in music education. She was working on her master's degree in special education. She enjoyed her time as a substitute teacher in the LCO schools.
She enjoyed music, animals, gardening and spending time with family and friends and children.
She is survived by her husband; her children, Heather (Richard) Rockensock of Onalaska, Wis., and Erik Moland of Winter; two grandchildren; mother, June Frogness of Hayward; siblings, Darrell (Lois) Frogness of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Ronald (Carolyn) Frogness of Cumberland, Wis., and Debra (Jim) Meyers of Ramsey, Minn.; an uncle; 14 nieces and nephews; and 11 grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew.
