Timothy Lawrence Kroeplin

Timothy L. Kroeplin, 65, of Bemidji died Tuesday, January 9, 2013 at his home in Bemidji.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN with Father Don Braukmann officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held at the Ralph Gracie American Legion Post #14 of Bemidji following the service. A summer Interment will be at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Bemidji, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born on February 21, 1947, in Bemidji, MN, the son of Albin and Ann (Kupka) Kroeplin. He was raised and educated in Bemidji, attending St. Philip’s Catholic Elementary and Bemidji High School. He joined the US Navy in 1965 serving during the VietNam war. He was honorably discharged in 1969. He returned to Bemidji and worked for the Bemidji Pioneer for a few years. He started his career in the Pipeline industry with Murphy Brothers. He traveled the United States for many years working on the Pipeline until his retirement. After retiring he worked occasionally on painting and construction projects. He was a member of Ralph Gracie American Legion Post #14 of Bemidji, and VFW of Bemidji Post #1260. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed cooking and helped out at American Legion Fish Fries. He also enjoyed golfing, was a constant jokester, and enjoyed helping out friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ronnie Kroeplin, and Terry Kroeplin. Messages of condolence may be left at
