A live album, recorded at First Avenue in Minneapolis, has also recently been released.

Here’s what the Associated Press said of the band’s “Stars and Satellites,” which was named the AP’s No. 10 Best Album of 2012:

“The awesomely named Minnesota string band has been on the rise for years and its gentle, introspective sixth album adds a layer of artistry and emotion only hinted at in previous work.”

Trampled by Turtles is known for its live shows and its blend of rock, bluegrass, punk and acoustic has led to a steadily growing fan base.

Trampled by Turtles is Dave Simonett (guitar, vocals), Tim Saxhaug (bass, vocals), Dave Carroll (banjo, vocals), Erik Berry (mandolin) and Ryan Young (fiddle, vocals).

Trampled by Turtles will perform at 8 p.m. in the Sanford Center’s ballroom. All tickets are $25

Tickets are available at JadePresents.com, the Bob Lowth Ford Pickup Windows at The Sanford Center, Lueken’s Village Foods, Ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.
