Thunderstorm passes through Bemidji area, but fireworks will still go on at about 10:15 p.m.

A strong thunderstorm arrived in the Bemidji area around 9:25 Monday night, threatening the city's planned Fourth of July fireworks display. The heaviest rain and small hail at first appeared to pass through, and the fireworks will begin at about 10:15 p.m. But rain has continues as 10 p.m. approaches.
