LAKEVILLE, Minn. (AP) -- Three people died in a crash on Interstate 35 near here early Friday morning.
State Patrol spokesman Lt. Mark Peterson said the three victims were all in a car that collided with two commercial vehicles. He said their names would be released Saturday.
The State Patrol said the northbound car struck an-other vehicle in the rear on Interstate 35 -- then crossed the median and continued into southbound traffic, where it was struck by a third vehi-cle.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. and forced the clos-ing of I-35 south of Lakeville, near the Dakota-Scott county line. The freeway was open again by mid-morning.
Roads were wet at the time. The State Patrol will recon-struct the accident as part of its investigation.
