Three injured in Saturday accident in Bemidji
A two-vehicle accident at about 2:20 p.m. Saturday in Bemidji resulted in three people injured.
According to the State Accident Report and a Bemidji Police Department report:
Judy Christine Northbird, 59, of Pennington, was driving east on Paul Bunyan Drive Southeast when she stopped, signaling her expected left-hand turn onto Roosevelt Road Southeast.
Northbird was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, which was struck in the rear by a 2007 Buick Lecerne driven by Jule Gust Basinger, 85, of Bemidji.
Northbird suffered back and chest pains. A passenger in her vehicle, 34-year-old Jason Aaron Northbird, was not injured. Judy Northbird was treated and released at North Country Regional hospital.
Basinger and his wife, 95-year-old Virginia Basinger, also were injured in the crash.Jule Basinger was treated and released at NCRH while Virginia Basinger was listed in fair condition Monday afternoon.
The Impala sustained severe rear-end damage while the Lecerne sustained severe front-end damage.
