Think safety: Turn on your headlights
A safety measure of importance for all citizens: Use headlights during periods of rain/snow/fog/dusk, etc.
If headlights are not on and visible neither are the taillights. If snow is on the roads light-colored cars blend into the roadway, and dark cars blend into the asphalt if roadways have been cleared. I believe it is a Minnesota state law that lights are to be used during these conditions.
A recent drive on Highway 2, Irvine Avenue and 30th Street resulted in a count of almost 20 vehicles without lights during a blowing snow. It is not uncommon to see vehicles being driven without lights on during any of the above conditions.
Please turn on your lights.
