Theodore "Ted" Emil Falk

Theorore "Ted" Falk, 75, of Blackduck, MN, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.

A private celebration of Ted's life will be held at a later date. Cease Funeral Home of Blackduck assisted the family with arrangements.

He was born September 11, 1938 in Bemidji, MN to Carl and Olga (Christensen) Falk. He attended school through the eighth grade at Nebish Country School and graduated from Blackduck High School in 1956. He was active in the community and served on many boards. He married Pamela E. Brown on October 21, 1961 in Nevada City, CA.

Ted served in the U.S. Navy from November 7, 1957 to received an honorable discharge December 21, 1961, serving on numerous aircraft carriers as an aviation electrician. Following his discharge, he returned home to the family farm, where he farmed for over 30 years. He joined the Masonic Lodge in 1967 in Bemidji and was very active on the Beltrami County Fair Board.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Falk of Blackduck; a daughter, Brenda (Dan) Carlson of Dawson, MN; a son, Ted Falk, Jr. of Bemidji, MN; two grandchildren, Brandon and Samantha Carlson; a sister, Jewell (Bill) Nelson of Madison, WI; a brother, Larry (Pam) Falk of Bemidji, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Olga Falk.
