Take a Kid Fishing group meets in Blackduck

BEMIDJI - The 2012 Bemidji area Take a Kid Fishing event will be June 6 and event officials will hold their first committee meeting 6 p.m. May 10 at the Hillcrest Supper Club in Blackduck. Other meetings will be May 17 and May 24, also at the Hillcrest Supper Club and starting at 6 p.m.

Anyone interested in offering help in the Take a Kid Fishing planning process is invited to the meetings.

The 26th annual Take a Kid Fishing event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Cameron Park access where the guides will be introduced to their young anglers. The event will end with a 5 p.m. fish fry at Lake Bemidji State Park for the guides, the anglers and their parents.
