SWIMMING: Bemidji takes fourth at section True Team
BEMIDJI – The Bemidji boys swimming and diving team placed fourth at Saturday’s six-team Section 5A True Team meet which was held at the Bemidji High School pool.
Alexandria won the title with 1,026 points while the Lumberjacks tallied 622.
Tyler Hemp was third in the 100 breast stroke (1:06.73) and fifth in the 200 free (1:58.33). Sam Howard added a fifth in diving (358.40) as did Matt Arndt in the 100 breast stroke (1:10.38).
Nick Gubbels contributed a sixth in the 100 free (54.29).
The Lumberjacks also were third in the 200 free relay as Nick Gubbels, Nate Gubbels, Hemp and Wyatt Yartz combined for a time of 1:36.27.
