Suzy and Hondo dancers place in Twin Cities championship

Dancers from the Suzy and Hondo School of Dance competed July 12 and 13 at the annual Twin Cities Open Ballroom Dance Championship. From left, Spud Solors, Riley Bresina, Kari Waller, Jessie Dewey, Tia Langhout, Suzy, Tyra Langhout, Hondo and Lenore Siems competed in 33 heats in seven dances (cha cha, rumba, east coast swing, fox trot, waltz, tango, Viennese waltz) and received 13 first-place awards, 10 second-place awards and one third-place award, plus an unexpected appearance as background dancers on the Fox 9 morning show.
