Sustainability Mondays group sets March events

Sustainable Mondays will be held throughout March at the Rail River Folk School, 303 Railroad St. SW, Bemidji.

Events focused on sustainability in the Bemidji community will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Mondays.

This Monday, attendees will be able to construct their own compost/vermiculture bins.

On March 12, Sharon Nordrum will be teaching ways to clean furniture, fixtures, windows and laundry with homemade, green cleaning recipes.

Sustainable Mondays will take a field trip to an active Sugarbrush site and learn about the process of making maple syrup on March 19.

The final meeting of the month will teach participants about starting their own garden by planting seeds in their own home on March 26.
