Suspected murder/suicide case investigated

RAMSEY, Minn. (AP) — Anoka County sheriff's deputies and local police are investigating the deaths of a couple in Ramsey.

Authorities believe the deaths of the 67-year-old woman and 65-year-old man may be a murder-suicide. A relative called Ramsey police asking officers to check on the couple after receiving an email with suicidal overtones.

Officers went to the home Tuesday and found the two bodies in a bedroom with gunshot wounds to the head. Police say indications at the scene show the woman died before the man. Their names have not been released.

Anoka County sheriff's officials say a number of cats were also found fatally shot in the home.
