Katherine Ann Powell, daughter of Wanda and Claude Carter of Pinewood and Danny and Joyce Powell of Little Falls, Minn., and Robert Alan Susmilch, son of Alan Susmilch of White Bear Lake, Minn., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The couple will be married at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Lake Bemidji State Park. A reception will follow at the Bemidji Eagles Club.
Katherine is a 2000 graduate of Bemidji High School.
Robert is a 2001 graduate of White Bear Lake High School.
