Tiernan Atteberry (left) and Hayden Hommes launch their waterproof vehicle to collect pollutants Friday as part of the Headwaters Science Center’s weeklong Engineering Innovations Workshop,”Waterbotics.” Seven students built remote-controlled water vehicles that collected debris in a giant swimming pool set up in the basement. The workshop was made possible by grants from First National Bank Foundation and Karvakko Enginnering, officials said. The next workshop is Storm Chasers starting on July 28. Monte Draper | Bemidji Pioneer
