Story led to new home for baby hawk
I want to thank the Pioneer for running the story of "Stormy," the baby redtail hawk that was found after the July 2 storm. Because of the story, he now has a new home at the Headwaters Science Center in Bemidji.
I was contacted by Kris Tolman after she received a call from a friend about "Stormy." Kris said we did a good job of handling him and that he was in good condition. She hopes to train him and use him for education.
So anyone who is interested may go the Science Center to see him and realize what a beautiful and fascinating bird he is. We will miss "Stormy" but we are so happy that we were able to rescue him and find such a wonderful place for him to live.
