Last Thursday our family decided to pontoon on Cass Lake from a cabin on Kitchi Lake. The motor died on us just east of Cedar Island in the southern end of Cass.(we learned later that it threw a rod). Anyway, we watched helplessly as the sky turned gray and the storm clouds threatened us. After making several phone calls to area businesses for help we finally found a helpful response in the people at Stony Point resort.
Jim and Oskie came to our rescue. As they arrived in their pontoon, the deluge began. The storm unleashed itself on us with high winds, waves and a driving rain. These two men, in spite of the conditions, towed us safely back to the resort and safety.
We cannot thank Jim and Oskie and Stony Point for their help.
