Stella (Klinke) Scott, 92, of Fosston, died on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at First Care Nursing Home in Fosston.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Fosston Baptist Church with Rev. David Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Fosston Baptist Church. There will also be reviewal for one hour before the funeral at the church. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Fosston.

Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston assisted the family with arrangements.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1916, to Frank and Hannah (Hatleli) Klinke in Lengby, Minn. Her mother was an elementary school teacher and taught her class. In order for her to attend high school, she moved to Hibbing, Minn., where she lived with her aunt, Genorah, and uncle, Archie. She graduated from Hibbing High School, attended nurses training, and worked for a period of time for the Tangjerd Family in Bagley. She also worked several years at a sewing factory in Naytahwaush. She married Neal C. Scott on Aug. 21, 1936. They had four children. They lived in rural Lengby all of their married lives until he died Feb. 16, 1994. After her husband's death, she moved to Fosston. She was a member of the Lengby Baptist Church where she played the piano. After moving to Fosston, she became a member of the Fosston Baptist Church. She was active in many areas of church work. Her family and church were very important to her. She enjoyed crocheting, decorating her home, and flower and vegetable gardening.

She is survived by her children, Neal J. (Maryl) Scott of New Richland, Minn., Susan Stinar of Fosston, Michael (Bonnie) Scott of Grand Forks, N.D., and Gene (Mary) Scott of Lengby; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Vicki) Klinke of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Janice (Ben) Whaley of Lincoln, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neal; brother, Seldon Klinke; and son-in-law.
