State unemployment rate slips to 7.3 percent in January
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota added 15,600 jobs in January, the biggest one-month gain in state employment since April 2005.
That left an unemployment rate of 7.3 percent for the month, a small tick downward from December's 7.4 percent. The national unemployment rate in January was 9.7 percent.
