Stamping out hunger: Food drive underway in Bemidji
The United Way of Bemidji Area and the local Post Office are conducting the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, which started Monday and continues through Saturday. The Post Office has been participating in the national food drive since 2001, collecting non-perishable food items from city and rural residents, which are collected by the letter carriers and transferred to the Bemidji Community Food Shelf.
Food items will be collected at the Post Office building at 401 Irvine Ave NW.
