Stabbing under investigation in Bemidji

BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Police Department is investigating a stabbing at Hillcrest Manor Wednesday morning.

Bemidji Police Chief Mike Mastin said the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. A call came in reporting a fight between multiple people with weapons. Hillcrest Manor is on the 3900 block of Irvine Ave. NW.

Upon officer arrival, the involved parties were not found. A 20-year-old victim was later located and transported to Sanford Medical Center. It is believed the victim's assailant was a juvenile. Mastin said alcohol may have been a factor.

The incident remains under investigation.
