Sport and Spinal donates 'Macaroni Mountain' to Bemidji Area Food Shelf
Chiropractic Sport and Spinal Rehab of Bemidji has announced the donation of a patient-created "Macaroni Mountain" to the Bemidji Community Food Shelf.
Community members and patients were encouraged to donate macaroni or other non-perishable food items in exchange for a discounted orthopedic and neurological examination, health history consultation, X-rays if needed, a computerized muscle scan of the back and a report of findings consultation.
"Macaroni Mountain" is part of the annual community outreach program of the CSSR clinic that features back safety presentations for regional businesses, nonprofits and organizations at no charge throughout the year; free computerized foot and back scans monthly at scheduled locations in the area; and educational programming on such topics as auto injuries, backpack safety, whiplash, personal wellness and chiropractic.
In addition to food and monetary donations, the Food Shelf also accepts necessary household items, such as baby food, diapers, hand soap, toilet paper and toothpaste.
