After six rounds, the 2011 Bemidji Area Schools' Spelltacular spelling bee champion was determined Jan. 25. After six rounds, the 2011 Bemidji Area Schools' Spelltacular spelling bee champion was determined Jan. 25. Eighth-grader Noah Brown from Bemidji Middle School won the competition after correctly spelling the word "pedicure." Second place went to BMS sixth-grader Paige Jacobson, third place went to BMS seventh-grader Max Fugli, fourth place went to BMS seventh-grader Hunter Evans, and fifth place went to Central Elementary School fifth-grader Jae-Lah Lymon.
