Someone Special Volunteers for 06/15/14
The Bemidji Pioneer, Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, Ken K. Thompson and the United Way recognize “Someone Special Volunteers” who have made significant contributions to the community.
Anishinabe Legal Services has nominated Rita Holler as a Someone Special volunteer.
Anishinabe Legal Services (ALS) represents clients in helping them protect their rights. Rita Holler has provided volunteer services as a Paralegal for the office which has enabled the ALS program to take on more clients and help with a bigger variety of legal issues. Holler has volunteered at legal clinics as well as on intake days at ALS, does research, and drafts forms to assist the ALS attorneys.ALS is a Legal Services Corporation (LSC) grantee and independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals living on or near the Leech Lake, Red Lake, & White Earth Reservations.
Bemidji Community Soup Kitchen is pleased to recognize Chris Kreiner as a Someone Special
Volunteer. Chris Kreiner is a vital part of the operations at the Bemidji Community Soup Kitchen.
He prepares two of the three meals provided each week. He has logged over 850 volunteer hours in the last 18 months. Kreiner greets everyone who walks in the doors with a great smile.
The Bemidji Community Soup Kitchen provides free meals on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays each week to those in need with no questions asked.
