Some light rail service resume in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The wet spring snowstorm forced Metro Transit to suspend light rail service on the line from the Mall of America in Bloomington to Target Field in downtown Minneapolis.
The problem was ice that accumulated on the overhead power lines faster than it could be scraped off, causing several trains to stall.
Service resumed between Target Field in downtown Minneapolis and Franklin Avenue in south Minneapolis around 9 a.m.
