Some lawmakers ready to adjourn, some want more time
ST. PAUL - Every issue in front of the Minnesota Legislature is optional as it prepares to adjourn in a few days, a couple of weeks or on its mandatory May 21 last day.
As lawmakers return from a 10-day Easter-Passover recess on Monday, there is nothing they absolutely have to do in their remaining time this year, unlike a year ago.
