The action begins at noon when the girls entertain Detroit Lakes. Following that game the boys will tangle with East Grand Forks.

The boys are the top seed in the North Sub-Section 8A field while East Grand Forks is rated fourth in the North. The Green Wave advanced to today’s game by blanking Fergus Falls 4-0 Thursday.

Today’s winner will resume its tournament schedule Tuesday against the winner of today’s South Sub-Section contest between Sartell and St. Cloud Apollo. If BHS wins today it will host that game, probably at 4 p.m.

St. Cloud Apollo is the second seed from the South and Sartell is seeded No. 3.

Today’s lower-bracket games send Detroit Lakes (No. 3 North) to Hillcrest Lutheran Academy (No. 2 North) and Sauk Rapids (No. 4 South) to St. Cloud Cathedral (No. 1 South).

The winners of those two games will also battle Tuesday.

The championship game will be Thursday in St. Cloud.

In addition to the Bemidji-Detroit Lakes game, today’s other girls tournament battles see Sartell (No. 1 South) hosting St. Cloud Apollo (No. 5 South), East Grand Forks (No. 1 North) entertaining Fergus Falls (No. 4 North) and St. Cloud Cathedral (No. 2 South) welcoming Alexandria (No. 3 South).

If the Jacks win today and St. Cloud Apollo upsets Sartell, BHS will be at home Tuesday. If BHS and Sartell both win, Bemidji will head to Sartell.

The championship game will be Thursday in St. Cloud.
