Snow snake throwing competition set

BEMIDJI – Bemidji State University is hosting a snow snake throwing competition 10 a.m. Friday on the BSU football field.

Bob Shimek, taught a course in January for sustainable Tuesdays on how to carve snow snakes and is organizing the event. The public is invited to join as well. There will be an open division for community members.

Participants should meet at the American Indian Resource Center on Bemidji State’s campus.
