Smith-Goertz

Fred and Jody Smith of St. Cloud announce the engagement of their daughter, Maria, to Jeff Goertz. Jeff is the son of James and Elaine Goertz of Oregon City, Ore.

Maria graduated from Bemidji High School in 2005 and from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., in 2009 with a degree in Applied Health Science. Maria will graduate from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Medical School in May 2013.

Jeff graduated from Oregon City High School in 2003 and from Wheaton College in 2007 with a degree in Secondary English Education. He is currently employed in the Mankato School District.

The wedding will be held June 29 in Stillwater. The couple will reside in Chaska.
