ST. PAUL -- State Sen. Rod Skoe, DFL-Clearbrook, will hold several town hall meetings today in the Senate 2 district.
-- 9-10:30 a.m.. -- Fosston Civic Center.
-- 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. -- Bagley City Council chambers.
-- 1:30-3 p.m. -- Blackduck High School Library.
-- 4:30-6 p.m. -- Frank White Education Center Community Room, Park Rapids.
Joining Skoe at the town hall meetings will be Reps. Kent Eken, DFL-Twin Valley, and Brita Sailer, DFL-Park Rapids.
"This year's town meeting schedule is pared down slightly from last year's more-ambitious schedule," Skoe said in a statement. "The reason for that is simply timing. We are busy in St. Paul, working on the budget deficit and other looming issues so we can adjourn by the May 18 deadline.
"The amount of challenges facing us is unlike anything we've seen in recent years. That has meant I'm unable to commit to Friday town meetings because Rep. Sailer and Rep. Eken both have committee meetings on Fridays," said Skoe, who is vice chairman of the Senate Taxes Committee.
