Sharp new Bemidji area DNR enforcement supervisor

BEMIDJI – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has promoted four conservation officers to lieutenant and district supervisor.

Stacey Sharp was named Bemidji area enforcement supervisor, which includes Becker, Beltrami, Clay, Clearwater, Norman, Otter Tail and Polk counties. Dan Thomasen is the new Two Harbors area enforcement supervisor, Brent Speldrich will be the Mille Lacs area enforcement supervisor Wayne Hatlestad is the New Ulm enforcement supervisor.

“Each of these officers possesses courage, leadership, and ability,” said Col. Jim Konrad, DNR Enforcement director. “I am confident that they will continue the proud tradition of the department. My sincere congratulations go out to them for these well-deserved promotions.”

Sharp was a Nebraska state trooper from 1983-2005. He joined the DNR in 2006 and has served in the Bemidji and Thief River Falls field stations before assuming his new duties.
