Shake by the Lake event postponed

BEMIDJI – The Sanford Center’s Shake by the Lake event scheduled for Friday has been postponed, event center staff announced Wednesday.

The live music event had been planned for the outdoor plaza area of George W. Neilson Convention Center at the Sanford Center.

The event was postponed due to expected chilly weather.

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D., forecasts a high near 55 on Friday, with a northwest wind with gusts up to 23 mph. The evening forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of showers and a low near 38.

According to a news release, Shake by the Lake will be rescheduled for next spring.
