Second woman dies from injuries suffered in Saturday night accident near Litchfield, Minn.

LITCHFIELD, Minn. -- Another woman has died due to injuries suffered in a multiple-vehicle accident late Saturday night on Minnesota Highway 22 south of here.

Barbara A. Wold, 55, of Spicer, died today at St. Cloud Hospital, according to a Willmar, Minn., funeral home.

According to the accident report from the Minnesota State Patrol, Wold was a passenger in a vehicle that was out of control on Highway 22 near the Meeker County Road 18 intersection and slid into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

Passenger Kimberly A. Mead, 44, of Willmar, was ejected from the vehicle and died Saturday at the scene.

According to the State Patrol report, the car was driven by Ronda L. Malvin, 43, of Raymond. She was not injured.

Passenger Diane K. Mead, 44, of Minot, N.D., is listed in critical condition, according to the State Patrol report. A fourth passenger in that vehicle, Michelle E. Malvin, 43, of Willmar, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Several other people in the other vehicles involved suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
