Peacemaker Resources has nominated Caleb Schotzko as a Someone Special volunteer.

Schotzko is a junior at Bemidji High School and volunteers with Peacemaker Resources once a week with a variety of tasks in the office.

From laminating posters to shredding documents, Schotzko can be counted on to be on time, do the job well and go the extra mile. Peacemaker Resources looks forward to when Schotzko comes to the office and is proud to have him as part of their team.

The mission of Peacemaker Resources is to build safe and healthy communities based on respectful communication, empathy, and effective conflict resolution. The Peacemaker Resources staff teaches social emotional learning in area schools, provides communication trainings, and mediation.

The Boys and Girls Club of the Bemidji Area has nominated Onen Markeson as a Someone Special volunteer.

Markeson served on the Boys and Girls Club of the Bemidji Area Board of Directors from 2005-2007, and in 2010 became a program volunteer. He has dedicated more than 100 hours of volunteer service in the Club's library, technology lab, gym, garden and elementary games room. Weekly, he assists members with homework, and he is always flexible to the needs of the kids, the Club, and the Club staff. He brings with him a kind and positive attitude that the youth recognize and latch onto. He enjoys tending to his garden during the summer but always returns in the fall with his smiling face ready to help out any way he can.
