Scholarships available

Body by Milk: Seniors at the top of their game when it comes to academics, sports and community service. Apply online at: Deadline is March 5.


Minnesota Association of Townships: Juniors who plan to further their education at a college, university, or vocational school. Deadline is May 1.

Jan. 11-15: Snow Week

Jan. 12: Coronation

Jan. 21: 6:30 p.m.- Financial aid night in Kelliher.

Jan. 22: End of second quarter

Jan. 25: 6:30 p.m. - Financial aid night at Blackduck High School in the computer lab.

Community Ed

Snowmobile Safety will be held Jan. 6, 7 and 9. The fee is $15.

Adult Basic Education begins Jan. 6 at 4:45 p.m. at the Blackduck Resource Center.

Wednesday Night Volleyball is at 7 p.m. and the fee is $3 per night.


Community Ed

Aerobics will be held Monday-Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the school gym. Bring a towel.

Open gym is Sundays from 3-5 p.m. The cost is $1 per person or $5 per family.

About Students

Peter Nelson, of Kelliher, an at-large senator, sophomore and political science major and Corey White, of Northome, a senator, senior and design technology major, are both members of the Bemidji State University Student Association Student Senate.

Recycling effort

The local Boy Scout troops have an aluminum recycling bin in the north parking lot of the Blackduck Family Resource building located on Main Street in Blackduck. The funds raised will be used to finance summer camping trips for the Boy Scouts.
