Scholarships available

The Northwest Airlines Pilot's Wives Club: Seniors and college freshman, sophomores and juniors to explore the field of cardiovascular research by working a Minnesota research lab during the summer months. Apply online at http://www.heart.org/mnscholarships. Deadline Nov. 15.

Washington Crossing Foundation: Seniors who are history buffs, enjoy politics, or are interested in government or military service. Visit: http://www.gwcf.org Deadline: Jan. 15.

Farm Credit Service Scholarship: Seniors who are from an actively farming or ranching family OR are planning to pursue an agricultural degree. Deadline March 1.

KFC Colonel's Scholarship: Seniors with a GPA of 2.75 or higher and are pursuing a bachelors degree. Apply online at http://www.kfcsholars.org. Deadline: Feb. 10.

AXA Achievement Scholarship: Seniors who are active in their community, have led a project that benefits others, and overcome personal challenges. Apply online at http://www.axa-achievement.com Deadline Dec. 15.

US Bank Internet Scholarship: Seniors attending an accredited two or four-year college next fall. Apply online at usbank.com/studentloans. Deadline Feb. 28.

Heart Research Scholarship: Minnesota seniors, college freshman, sophomores or juniors with an interest in the health science area. Apply online at http://www.heart.org/mnscholarships Deadline: Nov. 15.

St. Thomas Science, Mathematics and Engineering Scholarships: Seniors applying to St. Thomas. Deadline Dec. 1.

America Legion Auxiliary Department of Minnesota Scholarship: Seniors who are sons, daughters, grandsons, or granddaughters of a veteran. Deadline March 15.

Community Ed

Craft Night will be held Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school commons. The fee is $10.

Venison Processing will be held Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in high school room 121. The fee is $10.

Wednesday Night Volleyball is at 7 p.m. and the fee is $3 per night.

WEDNESDAY, Nov. 11 - Roast pork gravy over mashed potatoes, corn, whole wheat dinner roll, pineapple, milk.

THURSDAY, Nov. 12 - Chicken, wild rice, bacon and cheese chowder, egg salad or peanut butter and jelly sandwich, pears, milk.

FRIDAY, Nov. 13 - Chef salad with the works, homemade bread sticks, chocolate pudding cake, milk.

Community Ed

Ballroom Dancing will be held Nov. 9 and Dec. 17 from 7-9 p.m. The cost is $15.

Scrapbooking will be held Nov. 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The fee is $5 per person with supplies included or $2 for just the workshop. You must register by Nov. 9.

Aerobics will be held Monday-Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 pm. in the school gym. Bring a towel.

Open gym is Sundays from 3-5 p.m. The cost is $1 per person or $5 per family.
