BEMIDJI - Matt Schneider tossed a no-hitter to lead the Bemidji Blue Ox to an 18-0 home victory Sunday over Red Eye.
The visitors managed only one base runner in the seven innings and he reached on an infield error.
Schneider, however, retired the next three batters, including two via the strikeout.
Bemidji took a 2-0 lead in the second when Chris Conway singled, Nick Lee was hit by a pitch, Jordan Sweep delivered an RBI groundout and Matt Baier singled home Lee.
The Blue Ox took control with eight runs in the third.
Coyle finished with five RBIs while Baier, Biehn and Sweep had two.
Schneider struck out 11 and didn't walk a batter on way to his no-hitter.
On Friday the Blue Ox stopped Cass Lake 7-2 behind Sol Schneider's 3-RBI performance.
Singles by Sol Schneider and Lee plated runs in the second and Bemidji scored a single run in the fourth when Biehn reached on an error and Sol Schneider delivered an RBI ground ball.
A wild pitch and Baier's grounder capped the 2-run sixth.
Bemidji iced the win with two insurance runs in the seventh.
Nolan Coyle went the distance on the Bemidji mound, allowing only Taylor Humphrey's double and singles by Chad Wittner and Mike Hanson.
Hanson was the losing pitcher. Caleb Fisher and Taylor Humphrey also pitched for Cass Lake.
