Save the track program at BHS

An event is planned to save the track program at Blackduck High School and everyone is encouraged to take healthy strides and help our students to continue a sport which offers lifelong benefits.

Did you know that students who run/jog for exercise in their youth are more likely to continue to do so as adults than those who participate in other team and individual sports? Join the track team and coach, Barb Moon, for a 5K Walk/Run or One Mile Fun Run for kids under 8 May 19 on the Blackduck School football field with registration at 8 a.m., the Fun Run Race at 9 a.m. and the 5K beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The registration fee is $15 for the 5K and $10 for the Fun Run and includes a t-shirt if you pre-register (only guaranteed if registered by May 4). There is also a family rate available -- so bring the whole gang out to participate in a fun, healthy activity and help to save the school's track program at the same time!

For more information or to register, e-mail Stacy Swedberg in the Blackduck Elementary School at swedberg@blackduck.k12.mn.us.
