Saturday's Rick Lee Invitational also a victim of the poor Bemidji area road conditions

BEMIDJI – The terrible road conditions and predictions of more ice and snow to come have prompted Bemidji High School officials to cancel many of the weekend’s events.

Included on the list is Saturday’s Rick Lee Wrestling Invitational at the BHS gym.

All of Friday’s events also have been cancelled. Among them is the boys basketball game against Duluth Denfeld. That game has been rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Friday’s athletic weather victims also include the annual Lumberjacks swimming invitational, the home girls hockey game against Warroad and the gymnastics meet at Alexandria.

Also in jeopardy are the other Saturday events, including the gymnastics meet in Moorhead, the boys hockey game at Roseau and the ski meet at Giants Ridge.
