Saturday Afternoon/Evening Forecast Discussion
We’ve made it to weekend, but there are some big changes coming our way. The wind has really picked up out of the west at 10-25 mph this afternoon. This is due to an area of low pressure to our north in Manitoba. This low-pressure area will send scattered showers through the area this evening and into tonight. Not much rainfall is expected, but you can expect cooler air to move in behind it for Sunday.
Scattered showers will continue across the area through the night. The wind will switch from the west to the north, and that will send cooler air into the area.
Wind: NW 10-25 mph
We’ll see a mostly cloudy day on Sunday, with the spotty showers continuing. The wind will continue to be strong, ushering in cooler air.
Wind: N/NW 15-30 mph
After the low pressure area exits the region Sunday night, high pressure will build in, and that will allow for a lot of sunshine to start the next work week. With a lot of sunshine Monday and Tuesday, temperatures will warm back into the upper 70s and lower 80s. The dry, warm weather will continue into next weekend, with highs generally in the 80s.
