Sam Cook's Outdoors: Fall-color hiking on the Superior Hiking Trail
If you're looking for some great fall-color hikes with lots of maples, the Superior Hiking Trail Association has suggestions for you. The trail runs 205 miles from near Two Harbors to the Canadian border. Gayle Coyer, executive director of the association, suggests these sections of the trail for maples, which usually peak at the end of September.
